Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday! Thank you to all of our great artists and wonderful sponsors! There is no way it could have been possible without you all! We are in the process of sorting through the Silent Auction winnings and collecting money from those who weren't there at the end of the auction. We also have LOTS of pictures to go through from that day that will be posted so keep an eye out. Thanks again!

There are a lot of updates to share:
-We now have a Facebook account, so everyone should be our fans and
follow our every move!
-We have secured more sponsors!
-The official drop off dates/times for artists to deliver their Silent
Auction pieces are Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th from 10 am
to 7 pm at Cool Beans Coffee Roasters (31 Mill St, Suite 100,
Marietta, GA, 30060).
-The Marietta Wine Market is having a wine tasting the same day as
the Art Sale and all of their proceeds will also go toward the Strand
Theatre's Education Program!
-Shawna Brodie, LMT, from Illuminated Heart Massage & Bodywork will
be at the event performing massages for a suggested donation of $1 a
minute, all proceeds going to the Strand's Education Program as well!
-The Strand Theatre has put us on their marquee!!!

We have begun selling Raffle Tickets at the movies playing at the Strand throughout April. The tickets will also be for sale soon at Cool Beans Coffee in the Square.
Tickets are $2 and you don't have to be present to win. We will take your name and contact information and will get in touch with you if you win.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Aajay and I spent the greenest day of all going around the Marietta Square today talking to local business owners about contributing to the Raffle. Everyone we talked to seemed really enthusiastic about being a part of our event. We even got a few businesses to contribute on the spot! Things are definitely falling into place and this is going to be bigger than we thought.
There has also been a great response from local artists and we expect quite a diverse group of artists taking part. We are expecting painters, photographers, jewelers, and sculptors, among others.
We are both really looking forward to May 30th and know that it will completely exceed any expectations we had about it!

Hello all,
This is Aajay, reporting live, hiding in a shelter from the snow storm that has rolled through and blanketed Marietta. If you haven't seen it so far, wake up, roll up the blinds, and engage your eyes in it. It's a beautiful thing. I digress.
The real reason I'm here is to tell you (the good thing about the English language is that I could be talking to one "you" or multiple "you" without disclosing the truth about our small, probably one-person-audience) the good news that has happened/is happening with our ArtSale.
1. We have lined up the Strand Theatre's education program as our benefiting nonprofit sponsor. This is a very special thing to us. We are quite pleased to work with such a big force in the downtown Marietta scene. Currently the program is working on a "Student Works Fest" April 15th-April 17th. For more info you can find the website HERE.
2. We do have a date lined up, and almost all permission from the city and all affiliated parties. MAY 30th. It's a Saturday, so there is no excuse for you not to drag your butts down there. Something you may want to plan ahead for, though, is that there is also another big event going on at the Square. There is the 4th Annual Wings 'N' Rock Fest. This is a wonderful event that will give us a potential crowd of thousands. We couldn't have planned it better ourselves. So that will happen in the actual square part, while our wonderful ArtSale will happen behind Cool Beans Coffee Roasters, our main sponsor.
3. Something fun! We will be having a raffle during the event. You can buy tickets starting on May 16th at Cool Beans, and only there. We will be raffling off incredible gifts and all for only a contribution of $1 or more. (All proceeds go to the Strand, remember). So you can play it a number of ways, depending on how much you'd like to win versus how much you'd like to help a wonderful program build into a staple in the community. Also fun: we are only allowing artists in who contribute a piece of work to the Silent Auction, like the raffle, the proceeds also go to benefit the education program at the Strand.
